Hi here's a picture of my mom and I.

One of the most difficult things I've had to learn is how to love. I feel like Pontius Pilate asking Jesus, "What is truth?" (John 18:38) And then asking him "What is love?" myself. I've learned that sometimes we need to go through some of the hardest things in order to learn how to love, and maybe it's at the point where we ourselves just don't have anything left to offer. It's in that mode of surrender where we have no pride and what's left is this humility and love for others. As for me, I often get in this state of trying to prove myself and I have this pride upon my face. Love has been one of the strangest and most fascinating things God has brought into my life, because I learned it hard, and it stuck. That foundation was made of pure rock and was difficult to plant in the ground, but I've seen the Lord working on the house and I just hope I'm able to accomplish what He wants with it or rather surrender to let Him build up the house.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
New International Version
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I'm hoping to focus on Love for this trip, and let God do the work through me while traveling to Guatemala. It's in my hope and prayer requests that I would be able to focus on His love for the people surrounding me and acting in accordance with what that is.

Anyway this is the topic for the 1st post I have, hope y'all enjoy the read.
